As long as human beings exist, they have to produce and consume. Technological developments, population growth and the subsequent globalization revealed many problems. These emerging problems affect the lives of living things negatively and become the starting point in a global crisis. It becomes definite that precautions should be taken in this direction and that we should take the concept of sustainability to our center and act for a more livable world for the next generations.

As in all sectors, sustainability is becoming a very important concept in the textile and ready-to-wear sector. In recent years, it has become very important for humanity to reduce the wastefulness of the use of natural resources and to ensure their effective use and to establish a sustainable balance in terms of economy and social aspects. Now, the whole world is adopting a more conscious and solution-oriented consumption approach to environmental problems.

The clothing industry is a labor-intensive sector where production, distribution and sales are carried out together, where fabric is transformed into clothing. Although the ready-made clothing industry has become an important source of employment and income, it plays an important role in the economies of countries. While the demands of new products are constantly increasing with new customer requirements, the consumption craze brought about by fashion is getting bigger and bigger. The concept of "Sustainable fashion" has emerged as a solution to the existing problems as this sector, where many giant brands and companies that catch the latest trends are constantly producing and investing, started to take steps towards becoming sustainable. It expects to use sustainable products from raw materials to post-production, and to make and maintain production wastes.

2500 liters of water is used in the production of a cotton t-shirt (250 grams of cotton). Cotton and polyester disposed in Turkey recycled products that can be obtained though the total 1.17 billion kWh per year. To give an example of brands that aim to use nature-friendly, organic and recyclable products and apply them: Nike, H&M, GAP, Levi's, Stella McCartney. Many brands take care to invest in such collections and improve themselves. At the same time, 3R (Reduce "Reduction", Reuse "Reuse" and Recycle "Recycle") approaches are of great importance for the world and future generations.
The main purpose of all these sustainability processes is to extend the life span and benefit from that product for a long time. In order to reuse previously used products, it is possible to recycle the clothes by recycling them from raw materials with "recycling" methods and including them in the production again.

'' Sustainable fashion and recycling products '' in the textile sector, which has developed as a solution to the rapid consumption of natural resources as a result of production and consumption, which is one of the biggest problems experienced in the 21st century, has not only created an awareness in the society by reducing the use of resources, it is quality and long-lasting. It also contributed to the clothes being seen as an investment. Hoping that the designers, producers and consumers will continue to the next generations with a more conscious and high awareness of fashion ...
